Ingredients of Jaggery Rice
Basmati rice: 1 cup
Jaggery (molasses): 1/2 cup (ground)
Water: 2 cups
Cardamom pods: 2-3
Ghee (clarified butter): 1 tablespoon
Cashew nuts: 8-10 pieces
Raisins: 1 tablespoon
Almonds: 5-6 (chopped)
Saffron Strip: A pinch (optional)

Preparation steps for jaggery rice
Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Submerge the rice in water for approximately 30 minutes.
Soak the rice in water for about 30 minutes. This helps in getting perfectly cooked grains.
Preparation of Molasses Syrup
Heat water in a pan and add crushed jaggery.
Stir until the jaggery is completely dissolved and syrupy. Set aside.
